ITOPF Oil Tanker Spill Statistics 2011 released ()
The International Tanker Owners Pollution Federation Limited (ITOPF) has maintained statistics on oil spills from tankers since 1970. Figures just released for 2011 show that there have been five spills in excess of 7 tonnes, only one of which exceeded 700 tonnes.
